Data Governance Engineer

Social network you want to login/join with: You will be responsible for scaling, automation, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across the entire data lifecycle. This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap. You will be actively involved in creating the company's data quality foundations by developing and delivering technical solutions related to: Data Governance & Management policies as code Automatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementation Effective and efficient Metadata Management & Data Catalogue Data Policies and Procedures automation Data Security processes and controls automation Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will be responsible for: Designing and implementing automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detecting bad practices, and preventing data quality issues across all data layers and lifecycle phases Designing and implementing automatic Data Management policies , procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse Designing and implementing automatic Data Quality controls , validation, metrics, and controls Designing and implementing automatic Data Observability alerts & workflows Collaborating with the Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design the optimal data architecture & infrastructure for governed, high-quality data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL, Python, and AWS technologies Building and deploying Data Governance tools to support Data Analysts and Data Scientists in developing innovative products Skills: Education: Master's Degree in BI & Data Analytics, Big Data Experience: Advanced Python skills with experience in enterprise applications and ML Advanced SQL skills with relational database experience Data Security management (encryption, masking, GDPR, PCI, secrets, SSO, MFA) Experience with root cause analysis and process improvement Experience with data systems automation and administration Strong analytical skills with structured and unstructured data Technical Skills: Experience managing Cloud Data Warehouse Platforms like Snowflake Proficiency in SQL, Python, RestAPI Experience with Data Ingestion / ETL tools like Airflow Knowledge of Data Transformation tools such as dbt Experience with Data Management & Governance platforms like Collibra, Infosphere, Montecarlo, Informatica Proficiency in Data Visualization tools like Tableau Experience with version control systems like Git Familiarity with documentation tools like Atlassian Confluence Soft Skills: Project management skills (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) End-to-end process orientation Strategic thinking Data literacy and fostering a data-driven culture Day-to-day activities: Governance and management of the HBX Data Platform Stack Designing and implementing automated data governance policies and controls Implementing detective controls and alerts across tools and processes Ensuring data platform connectivity via API for governance and consistency Designing data security policies to comply with regulations like GDPR Managing the full data lifecycle, including upgrades, management, decommissioning, and archiving J-18808-Ljbffr
