Job Description For our dynamic and growing Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role requires someone who dares to think beyond the typical pharma MSL job and desires to operate autonomously in an entrepreneurial manner. It offers broad development opportunities, engaging in all aspects of the business and managing your own daily work. You will be part of a team of 3 Medical Managers in Italy, responsible for Medical Affairs strategy and execution of medical projects. You will also support sales and marketing colleagues, with a demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities. Candidates must reside in Italy and speak English, as communication with the European management team is essential. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe, based in various locations across Europe, with the European offices in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Major Tasks & Responsibilities Develop and execute Medical Affairs strategies and scientific projects, including publications and advisory boards. Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs and other influencers in the scientific and healthcare communities, based on scientific and medical evidence. Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange, particularly in melanoma. Assist with Early Access Program requests for melanoma patients in Italy. Provide business support for Italian marketing, commercial, and market access activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma. Lead the approval process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progress. Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline products in a timely, compliant, and ethical manner. Establish and support networks in derma-oncology and other potential therapeutic areas. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries. Support colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content for speakers. Education & Qualifications Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree. Driver’s license. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or Medical Manager in the innovative pharmaceutical industry. At least 1 year of experience in a commercial role within the same industry. Native Italian speaker and fluent in English. Desirable: Experience in dermatology or oncology. Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy. Technical Skills & Competencies Strong scientific knowledge. Strategic thinking abilities. Knowledge of dermatology or oncology. Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance.
