Senior Principal Systems Architect - smartphone / tablet solutions - SoC Systems Architecture - Semiconductor - Cambridge, UK We’re hiring for a leading UK-based semiconductor company with over 30 years of innovation in energy-efficient processor design, powering billions of devices globally. We’re seeking an experienced Systems Architect to join their Central Technology Group in Cambridge , driving next-gen smartphone and tablet SoC architecture with a focus on performance and power efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Define technology roadmaps in collaboration with engineering and product teams. Develop end-to-end platform architecture across hardware, software, and tools. Drive alignment across architecture, core tech, and IP teams to support mobile and large-screen compute SoCs. Evaluate IP and architectural proposals, providing strong technical leadership. Represent the company in high-level customer engagements. Produce architecture specifications and lead early-stage development. Design experiments and tools to explore architectural trade-offs. Clearly communicate complex concepts to technical and business audience. . What We’re Looking For: Extensive experience in SoC architecture for smartphones or tablets Strong technical depth and cross-functional leadership skills Ability to thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments Excellent communication and stakeholder management Bachelor’s degree in EE, CE, CS, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred) Visa sponsorship and relocation support available.
