Job Description

Technical Shop Floor Support (Production Engineer) Carbon60 is seeking a skilled Technical Shop Floor Support to join their industry leading aerospace client’s production team in Broughton. As a key member of the production department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's manufacturing processes. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to the production team, identifying and resolving technical issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes. You will work closely with the production team, analysing and solving problems, and providing valuable insights to enhance overall productivity and quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. You will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. A thorough understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety protocols is essential. Job Responsibilities: Accompanying the production team and providing technical support to identify, analyse, and solve issues Efficiently utilizing available resources and knowledge to enable continuous production Contributing to the company's Operational Excellence targets by continuously improving operational processes Providing technical analysis and documentation for assembly anomalies, non-conformities, and process/equipment issues Managing work orders, prioritizing execution, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards Support on identifying issues in production as well as problems not solvable by the Front Line Manager and operators and escalate/request support to the Work Prep (PE), Line Balancing (PPE), Maintenance, MAP & OSW or support function roles Skills and Experience: Manufacturing, aviation, lineside or production experience (desirable) Experience with non-conformities (NC), assembly anomalies (AM), design query note (DQN) and shopfloor health and safety (EH&S) Strong understanding of production/manufacturing environments Computer Literacy About the role: Double Day Shift Pattern (20% uplift) Alternating weeks of morning and afternoon Monday to Friday Mornings – 6:00am – 1:10pm Afternoons – 1:30pm – 8:40pm This is an excellent opportunity to join a global giant in the aerospace industry, where you can make a tangible impact on the production process.
