Market Research Data Scientist £60,000 Base Location: London (Hybrid – flexible, typically 2–4 days in office) An award-winning research and data consultancy at the intersection of politics, public opinion, and data science is looking for a Data Scientist to help shape the future of political insights and build cutting-edge statistical models. The Company: Founded by experts in policy and polling, this boutique consultancy has grown rapidly to a 40-strong team, renowned for delivering the most accurate election predictions in the UK and US. Their clients span government, think tanks, corporates, and hedge funds, working on everything from political strategy to reputation management and crisis response. The Role: Build and develop predictive models and statistical tools (primarily in R) Design and run regression, segmentation, and SRP analyses Own and enhance a growing library of data science functions Work directly with clients to deliver data-led insights and storytelling Collaborate across research and consulting teams Help train and mentor more junior analysts as the team grows About You: Skilled in R and experienced with statistical modelling Background in market research, policy, think tanks, or consulting Comfortable working with messy survey and census data Interested in politics, polling, or reputation/affairs work Strong communicator who enjoys both the technical and consultative sides of data science Keen to build something – this is a key hire they want to grow around Interview Process: 1st: Chat with Lead Data Scientist 2nd: Founder interview 3rd: Task informal presentation to team If you're excited by political data, statistical creativity, and the opportunity to make an impact from day one, this could be your next move.
