Materials Design Engineer

Expleo is looking to hire a Materials Design Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Warwickshire, UK, at a Senior Professional (P3) level. This role supports a key client and offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in materials science within a dynamic and innovative environment. What You’ll Do: Research and study the structures and chemical properties of various natural and synthetic materials through experiments and computer modelling Develop new materials or enhance existing ones to meet specific performance criteria Test materials for mechanical strength, strength-to-weight ratio, ductility, magnetic and electrical properties, and resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and temperature extremes Recommend materials for reliable performance in diverse environments Ensure all products meet quality and safety standards What We’re Looking For: Advanced knowledge in materials science or a related field, typically gained through higher education and significant work experience Experience with materials testing and simulation tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage projects independently with limited supervision Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior professionals Comfortable working on complex and sometimes challenging problems Interested?
