Are you a seasoned mechanical engineer with a passion for designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and products? Due to our client’s increasing growth and project activity, they’re looking to recruit a highly skilled engineer to join their team, where you’ll be responsible for designing and developing all mechanical aspects of projects creating electro-mechanical sensor systems, components, and equipment. What You’ll Be Doing As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll design and develop mechanical systems and products, including 3D and FEA modelling and testing. As well as perform detailed engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis using relevant software tools, whilst interpreting technical specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings to create mechanical designs. Your day-to-day might look a little like this: Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and risk assessments Work closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and are manufacturable Participate in design reviews, and recommend design modifications Create engineering documentation, including specifications, drawings, and bills of materials Select and qualify components and materials and ensure compliance with quality and industry standards A bit about you You’ll have 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior position. A few other skills we’re looking for: Proven track record of designing and developing successful mechanical systems and components Experience in one or more of the following industries: automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, or robotics Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, mechanics, and materials science PHD or MSc/MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Want to hear more?
