Job Description
About the Role: We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our multidisciplinary engineering team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing mechanical designers and controls engineers, ensuring high-quality project delivery and fostering technical excellence across departments. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a background in automation, and thrives in a fast-paced, solution-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical designers and controls engineers to execute engineering deliverables on time and within budget. Oversee the design and development of mechanical systems and control strategies for automation projects. Collaborate closely with project managers, manufacturing, and clients to ensure alignment across project requirements and engineering execution. Conduct regular design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality protocols. Monitor team performance and provide training, feedback, and coaching to support continuous development. Contribute to resource planning, workload distribution, and hiring initiatives as needed. Ensure all engineering documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained across the lifecycle of a project. Serve as a technical liaison with clients when needed, supporting discussions around design decisions, project milestones, and integration strategies. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. 5 years of engineering experience, including 2 years in a management or team lead role. Proven experience managing teams that include mechanical designers and controls/automation engineers. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, industrial automation systems, and control architectures. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written). Preferred Qualifications (Huge Plus): Previous experience working at an automation integrator or systems integration firm. Exposure to PLC programming, SCADA, HMI, or motion control systems. Familiarity with industry-standard tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rockwell, Siemens).
