Security Engineer

L3 Security Operations Center (SOC) Engineer We are seeking an experienced and innovative Level 3 SOC Engineer to join our growing cybersecurity team. This role is instrumental in enhancing our detection and response capabilities, automating security processes, and strengthening our defense posture across cloud and on-prem environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and enhance monitoring and response tools to improve security incident detection and remediation. Ingest and parse logs from cloud, infrastructure, and application layers into the SIEM platform. Develop, tune, and audit detection rules, prevention policies, and security playbooks. Implement and maintain threat intelligence and anomaly detection frameworks. Respond to alerts, conduct deep analysis (including malware analysis and forensics), and coordinate incident resolution efforts. Develop and automate incident response procedures and integrate tooling with engineering and customer-facing teams. Build security dashboards and visualizations to monitor for suspicious activity from a variety of internal and external sources. Conduct proactive threat hunting and develop tooling for attack surface analysis. Qualifications: 5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with a focus on threat detection and response. Deep understanding of current threat landscapes, adversarial tactics, and attack vectors across cloud and enterprise environments. Strong hands-on experience with SIEM and SOAR technologies, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and firewall management. Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python or PowerShell t o automate workflows. Expertise in analyzing logs from Linux and Windows environments. Proven experience in malware analysis, forensic investigation, and evidence preservation. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and OWASP Top 10.
