Job Description

Sourcing Agent This role is within Chamberlain Group's Operations and Supply Chain group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Develop, maintain and execute sourcing strategies by assisting Sourcing leadership by building strong relationship with preferred suppliers and assuring company compliance to policies, and (ii) Support decision-making and alignment on New Product Development projects or sourcing issues, presenting options, risk scenarios and recommendations to the team. Requires 3 years of relevant work experience and a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Develop, maintain and execute sourcing strategies by assisting Sourcing leadership by building strong relationship with preferred suppliers and assuring company compliance to policies Support decision-making and alignment on New Product Development projects or sourcing issues, presenting options, risk scenarios and recommendations to the team Manage New Product Development and productivity projects roadmaps for assigned categories; identify cost-reduction opportunities Assess supplier requirements, core competencies, and capacities to make recommendations to the Sourcing leaders Create and update provisions of supplier contractual agreements in alignment with Sourcing initiatives while working with cross-functional departments Executes appropriate mitigation plans based upon industry trade publications, trends and other reports Work with Supplier Quality Engineering to ensure supplier quality improvement plans are undertaken and results reported when quality slips below pre-determined threshold Monitor supplier scorecard by measuring key performance indicators and resolving issues to get supplier back on track Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed. Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams. Education/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Material Requirements or Enterprise Resource Planning Other: Able to travel up to 10% - domestically and internationally
