PHP Developer

We are seeking a seasoned and passionate Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our collaborative and high-trust engineering team. In this role, you'll work closely with peers across engineering and product teams to build scalable, performant, and well-architected systems. Responsibilities Write well-tested, scalable, and maintainable code using PHP and relevant frameworks (such as Symfony), choosing the best tools for the job. Collaborate with fullstack and frontend engineers to research, plan, and execute the development of a new core web experience. Contribute to architectural decisions and drive implementation of robust technical solutions. Mentor and support the growth of fellow engineers, helping to raise the bar across the team. Participate in cross-functional discussions, bringing technical expertise to product, design, and integration conversations. Define, document, and uphold engineering best practices and team standards. Qualifications 5 years of experience delivering impactful software using PHP; experience with Ruby is a plus. Solid experience building idiomatic PHP libraries and distributing them via Composer and Packagist. Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server) and data modeling. Exceptional planning and project management skills - able to break down complex initiatives into clear milestones and identify dependencies. Proactive problem-solver with a curious mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Focused on delivering user value and shipping quality experiences. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to writing high-quality, testable code. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines.
