Data Analyst

Location: Remote (Mx) Contract Type: Contractor About the Role We are looking for a Data Analyst with a focus on accounting operations and cash reporting flows to join our Digital Product Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing unstructured data sources, building data models, and creating reports and insights related to Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Client Refunds—particularly focused on open balances. You will collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Tech, and Data Platform teams to ensure accurate reporting and visibility into cash flow metrics, enabling informed decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain dashboards and reports focused on cash flow metrics, open balances, AR/AP, and unbalanced client refunds. Design and manage data models using Looker and dbt. Identify and resolve data quality issues to ensure data integrity across systems. Partner with Finance and Operations to understand accounting workflows and align on reporting requirements. Translate complex financial data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data Platform, Engineering, and Salesforce teams. Requirements 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience writing complex queries. Experience using visualization tools such as Looker (preferred), Tableau, or Power BI. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience working in Agile environments, ideally using Jira. Nice to Have Solid understanding of financial KPIs related to cash flow, AR/AP, and accounting operations. Familiarity with ERP or accounting software, ideally Applied Epic. Exposure to Salesforce. Prior experience in the insurance industry or payment collections. Experience building data pipelines and automating workflows (dbt experience is a plus).
