Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer

We have been contacted by one of our clients who is looking for an experienced Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. The successful applicant must be able to hit the ground running and have experience of working on a cloud migration. Key duties: Configure, manage, implement, monitor and optimise the Authority’s cloud computing services Define, maintain, improve and optimise the design, architecture and security of the Authority’s cloud computing platforms Ensure the ongoing security, confidentiality, integrity, availability and recoverability of ICT services in accordance with business KPIs and OLAs Ensure that system architecture provides appropriate availability, resilience and capacity matched to business need Assist with the architectural design and persistence of a secure on-premise and cloud computing network configuration Work as part of a team, mentoring junior engineers Required skills: Agile working practices Proficiency in scripting languages; Bash, Powershell, Python Backups; Databases; Linux/UNIX operating systems; Monitoring and alerting; Networking; Servers; Storage Git; Grafana; Helm; Kubernetes; Prometheus Architecture, design, implementation and maintenance of secure, robust and scalable network environments Working experience with AWS or Azure
