Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Systems Specialist to join our team in North Vancouver, British Columbia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation and integration of payroll systems while supporting ongoing payroll operations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the transport industry. Responsibilities: Responsible for the transition and implementation of payroll processes and procedures into the new system. Write scripts specific to the payroll process and function and test scenarios. Ensure appropriateness of training content and usability by the payroll team. Work with Finance, IT and external consultants to ensure relevant information is shared and the payroll content in relation to the system makes sense. Requirements: In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll standards and regulations. Proven experience with system implementation and transformation projects. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical payroll concepts clearly. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to use complex functions. Familiarity with HR payroll systems, particularly HCM SaaS Oracle Fusion. Experience in creating and testing payroll system scripts. Prior experience in unionized environments is an asset.
