About the Role: Role: AI or ML Engineer Location: This is remote for Guadalajara, Mexico Metropolitan Area OR Hybrid for Mexico City Employment Type: Full time Responsibilities: Develop Cutting-Edge Applications: Create standalone applications that leverage the power of Large Language Models (LLMs). Innovate with RAG-Based Applications: Design and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications. Vector Database Expertise: Utilize databases like Solr for efficient data management in LLM-based applications. Seamless Integration: Integrate LLM models with existing systems and APIs for robust interaction. Production Quality ETL Jobs: Implement high-quality ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for diverse data pipelines. Data Management: Preprocess and manage datasets for both training and deployment phases. Collaborative Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features. Efficient Coding Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to ensure seamless operation and easy maintenance. Detailed Documentation: Document development processes, codebases, and APIs comprehensively. Requirements: API Mastery: Proven experience in building customer-facing Machine Learning APIs. Scalability Expertise: Demonstrated ability to develop applications capable of handling terabytes of data. Strong API Knowledge: Expertise in API integration, including RESTful and GraphQL. Database Proficiency: Experience with data preprocessing, SQL, NoSQL databases, as well as vector stores such as Postgres, MySQL, Solr, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch. Deployment Tools: Familiarity with deploying tools like Docker and Kubernetes for efficient application deployment. DevOps Skills: Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, and CloudFormation templates is highly preferred. Problem-Solving and Communication: Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems, coupled with strong communication skills. Big Data Technologies: Experience with Spark/Hadoop, EMR, or other Big Data technologies is a plus. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environment.
