Automation Software Engineer - Professional

We are currently expanding our team within the Flat Automation department. Location: Genoa (GE) Responsibilities Design and testing of Level 1 software for machinery and process control of metalworking plants, complying with company standards and contractual requirements (functionality and performance). Development of software applications for PLC and HMI for machinery and process control, including technical documentation. Customization of standard solutions or projects similar to the specific needs of the plant. Drafting of functional specifications for machines and plant processes. Preparation of basic documentation for software development and definition of interfaces with third-party automation systems. Development of PLC and HMI software using appropriate development tools. Preparation of operator manuals. Project testing through integrated simulation, verifying conformity and performance. Project commissioning. Qualifications Degree in technical disciplines such as electronic, electrical engineering, computer science, or automatic control. Good knowledge of algorithmic techniques and fundamental data structures. Ability to read and understand industrial engineering documentation (electrical schematics, network diagrams, process flow diagrams, P&ID). Preferable knowledge of hardware and software design for industrial automation systems, particularly with PLC. Preferable experience with Siemens S7 / TIA Portal and/or Rockwell Studio 5000. Preferable experience with Siemens S7-1500 and Rockwell ControlLogix architectures. Preferable knowledge of SCADA environments such as Wonderware InTouch and Siemens WinCC.
