MUFG Global Service Private Limited: Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is 100% subsidiary of MUFG having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. About the Role: Position Title: Head - Vendor Management Office Corporate Title: Vice President Reporting to: Director Location: Bangalore Job Profile Position details: Purpose of Role: The Vendor Management Office Head would be responsible for overseeing and improving the organization's relationships with external vendors, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.This role involves strategic vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, risk management, and fostering strong vendor relationships.The head also leads the vendor management teams, develops, and implements vendor management policies & procedures, and provides strategic direction for vendor-related activities. Job Responsibilities: Strategic Vendor Procurement Management: Establish and develop procurement function in MGS and responsible for the entire procure to pay cycle with validation of business requirement. Develop and implement the overall vendor management procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives. Vendor Selection and Evaluation - Assess and select vendors based on criteria like cost, quality, risk, and compliance, ensuring the right vendors are chosen for specific needs. Contract Negotiation - Expertise in negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors. Negotiate favourable contract terms with vendors, including pricing, performance standards, and service levels. Accounts Payable Management - Checking invoices accuracy, validity & approvals are in place before payment. Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Contract Management: Performance Monitoring -Track vendor performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Relationship Management - Foster strong and collaborative relationships with vendors, building trust and ensuring mutual benefits. Problem-solving and analytical skills : The ability to identify problems, analyze data, and develop solutions. Risk & Compliance Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with vendor relationships, including supply chain risks and compliance issues. Risk management and compliance knowledge : Understanding of various risks associated with vendor relationships and ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Reporting and Analysis - Prepare reports and analyses on vendor performance, cost savings, and risk mitigation efforts. Team Leadership and Stakeholder Communication: Lead and manage the teams under vendor management office, providing guidance, training, and support. Ensure the team is adequately trained and equipped to perform their roles effectively. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Communicate vendor management activities and performance to key stakeholders, including executives, procurement teams, and internal users. Policy and Procedure Development, Implementation: Develop and implement vendor management policies, procedures, and guidelines. Identify and implement process improvements to optimize vendor management efficiency and effectiveness Roles and Responsibilities: Bachelors degree in finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement and vendor management related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Knowledge of best practices in vendor selection, performance management, and risk mitigation. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to build, lead and motivate teams, driving performance and achieving results. Experience working with captives, external vendors, and sourcing is required. Expert skills with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and MS Teams) are required. Demonstrated skills in the areas of priority setting, problem solving, negotiation, and conflict management are required. Ability to effectively partner with key stakeholders and cross functional groups to mitigate risk, remediate issues and drive accountability.
