Director, HR Applications

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Director, HR Applications for a permanent position with Ottawa based customer. Work Location : 4x week on-site at HQ in Ottawa/Gatineau Key Responsibilities: Lead the strategic direction, implementation, and continuous improvement of Workday and other HR applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategies Oversee the full lifecycle implementation of Workday HR and Payroll Post implementations lead the implementation of additional modules, upgrades, and integrations with other enterprise systems. Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to identify system needs, define requirements, and deliver scalable solutions. Manage a team of HRIS analysts and external consultants, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all HR applications and processes. Support the development and maintenance of system documentation, training materials, and user support resources. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform application enhancements and innovation Key Qualifications: Hands-on experience with Workday HCM, including at least one full-cycle implementation. 8 years of demonstrated experience in HRIS leadership roles, with at least 5 years focused on Workday Strong understanding of HR processes, data structures, and compliance requirements. Other Qualifications: Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage vendor relationships. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
