Location: Aguascalientes, Mexico What you will do The Financial Analyst is a shared services position working closely with the US-based FP&A team to support all Ascent business lines and corporate functional departments. The position assists the FP&A team with Ascent's Global Annual Financial Planning and Ongoing Financial Forecasting Program and Ascent's Monthly Financial Review Program. The Financial Analyst, along with the other members of the FP&A team, works to maintain the FP&A technology platform and assists in the completion of all assigned FP&A Annual Continuous Improvement Plan projects and initiatives. We are looking for someone who has a strong desire to make an impact, takes pride in their work, has an analytical and service-oriented mindset, and approaches projects with a focus on innovation, process efficiency, and data-driven solutions. Key responsibilities of the Financial Analyst include the following: Develop sales, general and administrative and gross profit budget templates and collect data to help complete them. Support the implementation of annual budget reporting packages as assigned, which include consolidated and line of business profit and loss, top customer lists, sales, general and administrative schedules. Support the implementation of the monthly executive financial reporting package. Assist in the completion of Annual Plan projects and initiatives. FP&A Continuous Improvement Plan, which includes projects to automate existing reports and create new reports. Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as assigned and assist with special projects to support strategic decision making. Develop proficiency in all relevant financial systems, policies and procedures. What we ask for: Able to work independently, and accomplish goals with minimal oversight Finance or Accounting background (could be university studies, or work related experience, or a combination of both) 1 year of finance experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the logistics industry. Working knowledge of financial statement concepts and GAAP. Systems experience (preferably PowerBI, Snowflake, Alteryx) and high level of comfort in Excel/Microsoft Access, or other data warehousing experience Excellent communication skills, in both Spanish and English, both written and verbal. Terrific intercommunications skills: partners well with business teammates, collaborates and some work experience in a matrixed organization Travel to the US may be required.
