MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific About the Role: Position Title: Senior Analyst,FCOA Intelligence & Analytics (Data Insights & Analytics) DIA - Financial Crimes Model Governance Corporate Title: Analyst Reporting to: Vice President, FCOA Intelligence & Analytics (Data Insights & Analytics) Location: Bangalore Job Profile Purpose of Role: As part of Data Insights and Analytics (DIA), which sits within Intelligence & Analytics, this new regional position will support the development of financial crime data analytics models utilized in the Asia-Pacific region. Efforts will include the conception of analytics models aimed at addressing financial crime typologies that can be cross-jurisdictional in nature. Implementing solutions end-to-end, encompassing data collection, extract transform load (ETL), data preparation, evaluating model performance and analysis outcomes, and deployment of model as a standalone analytics implementation or in a server environment. Main Responsibilities: Assist with building and maintaining positive relations with regional partners, including Global Financial Crimes Division (GFCD), Financial Crimes Office Asia (FCOA), and all MUFG Asia-Pacific stakeholders. Work with relevant parties to coordinate engagements, maintaining clear correspondence on project scope, timelines, and expected analytics deliverables. Gather and understand data from different source systems and using various delivery methods such as files, databases and Application Programming Interface (APIs). Ensure data quality by cleaning and preprocessing datasets used in the analytics pipeline. Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, using data visualization tools to create charts, graphs, and dashboards for concise presentation to relevant stakeholders. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data analysis process. Generate detailed documentation of the model development process, results, performance monitoring, and conclusions. Candidate Profile Skills and knowledge: Statistical modeling / data mining (decision tree, logistic regression, cluster analysis, etc.) experience in the banking industry is a requirement. Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following: Visual Basic, Python, R, SQL, Graph Databases, Tableau, Alteryx is a requirement. Requisite proficiency in the usage of Microsoft Office suite. Other Technical Skills Preferred: Working knowledge of other analytics tools such as Power BI, Qlik, IBM SPSS is a plus. Strong writing, editing and presentation skills. Knowledge of AML related customer and transaction risk typologies is a plus. Education & professional qualifications: A bachelors degree in quantitative fields, such as economics, mathematics, statistics, and computer science / engineering or other relevant discipline. Experience: Minimum of 4-8 years of data analytics experience with at least 1 year of direct related experience in within the BSA / AML / KYC(CDD) domain
