Engineering Leader

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead a team of high-performing technical contributors, enabling and empowering them to deliver outstanding results and supporting their personal growth and career development Build and maintain a high-performing team through 1-on-1s, coaching, mentoring, delegation, and occasional hiring. Act as an interface for Bengaluru-based employees and India-based contractors to connect effectively with their Atlanta-based counterparts Negotiate between multiple projects, business leaders, and technical teams to deliver market leading solutions Determine the feasibility and ROI of adopting newer market trends and technologies in the development space, interacting with business and product owners to define technical solutions and communicate these to varied technical and non-technical audiences. Build a roadmap and set a team vision in alignment with organizational goals and driving these to successful outcomes Provide limited technical oversightproviding validation and architectural review at times when Atlanta-based reviewers are not available Assist in communicating about SRE capabilities and driving service adoption with other DTH-based teams. Collaborate with peer leaders as well as US-based GMs and Directors Drive and support continuous improvement to our internal team agile processes and practices. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS): Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field, with at least 12 or more years of experience in a DevOps-driven development environment is required Strong leadership ability with a track record of developing people and achieving challenging objectives Experience in Team Leadership: Managed, mentored, coached and developed teams, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment Experience in Resource Allocation, Capacity Planning & Resource utilization Experience in Performance Management by providing regular performance feedback, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement. Mentor and build the team while delivering innovative and efficient solutions for critical mission-vital Technical Operations applications A sincere desire to accomplish work primarily by working with and through other people Established broad technical understanding of modern development practices as demonstrated through work experience, certifications, or degrees Expertise in one or more of the following: cloud native development; cloud administration; software development in Python, Java, Javascript, or another mainstream programming language; Site Reliability Engineering; application performance Strong experience in developing software application architecture and software development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good organizational skills. Youre reliable, and able to manage your own timelines and deliverables and to balance against competing priorities Willingness to listen, learn, and grow as you collaborate across diverse teams and work styles Blend of 70% technical and 30% people management responsibilities, including appraisal signoffs. WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS): Experience in SRE, DevOps, FinOps, Security, or another field that requires a blending of skills and active coordination with other teams Experience engineering software within Amazon Web Services (AWS), RedHat OpenShift, or other cloud or k8s providers Experience driving large multi-stakeholder projects to completion Airline industry knowledge is a plus Public speaking experience Management experience ID: DELPS17
