Molding Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Molding and Stamping Engineer to join our automotive manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the design, development, optimization, and troubleshooting of molding and metal stamping processes used in the production of automotive components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials, tooling, and process engineering, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop molding and stamping processes for new and existing automotive components. Collaborate with product design, tooling, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with specifications. Select appropriate materials and define process parameters for molding and stamping operations. Oversee tooling design, procurement, and validation for molds and dies. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Support launch activities for new products and processes, including PPAP and APQP documentation. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience in molding and/or stamping processes, preferably in the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of materials (plastics and metals), tooling, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO/TS 16949, FMEA, and SPC. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with injection molding, progressive die stamping, or deep drawing. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Experience working with Tier 1 automotive suppliers or OEMs.
