Job Description
Supervise assembly operations to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery of industrial gas turbine filters. Provide technical support by guiding the team in interpreting drawings and procedures. Responsibilities Safety • Ensure that all personnel comply with industrial safety guidelines. • Identify risks at workstations and propose improvements. • Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Quality • Ensure that assemblies meet established drawings, specifications, and quality criteria. • Follow up on non-conformities detected during or after the assembly process. • Collaborate with the quality and engineering departments to implement technical solutions. Deliveries • Plan, assign, and supervise the daily activities of the assembly personnel. • Ensure the availability of materials, tools, and necessary resources to meet the production schedule. • Monitor performance indicators (OEE, scrap, rework, productivity). • Support continuous improvement of layout, material flow, and work methods. Cost • Supervise compliance with assembly standards to minimize rework and waste. • Support and promote continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing operating costs in the assembly area. • Identify opportunities for optimization in material usage, cycle times, and resources. • Actively participate in the implementation of Lean projects, 5S, and other methodologies that contribute to process efficiency. Requirements • Technician or Engineer in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience supervising industrial assembly processes. • Experience with medium- or large-scale metal products is desirable. Desired Technical Skills: • Hands-on knowledge of metal-mechanic manufacturing processes (structural assembly, riveting, torquing, etc.). • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings. • Proficient in the use of measuring tools (caliper, multimeter, torque gauges). • Basic knowledge of welding and finishing processes (painting, sealing, pressure testing). • Experience using ERP or MES systems for production control. • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies such as 5S, SMED, and Kaizen. • Familiarity with industrial safety standards (NOM, OSHA, NFPA preferred). • Basic understanding of quality control (tolerances, visual inspection, acceptance criteria).
