Job Description
Legal Manager Location: San Luis Potosí (SLP) Onsite Position Purpose: Ensure legal compliance across all corporate and manufacturing operations in Mexico. Provide comprehensive legal counsel to various business areas, fostering cross-functional collaboration, integrity, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Provide legal support to the SLP and El Salto plants, and the corporate office in Mexico City. Advise Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, and other business functions. Manage corporate processes such as shareholder meetings, power of attorney, and board changes. Implement and oversee the Compliance and Ethics Program in Mexico. Draft, review, and negotiate high-value or high-risk contracts. Monitor labor, regulatory, corporate, and commercial legal matters. Propose legal improvements responding to legislative changes. Prepare legal reports and participate in legal department budget planning. Requirements: Law degree with a valid professional license in Mexico. Minimum 10 years of combined experience in law firms and multinational companies. Strong expertise in corporate, labor, regulatory, and contract law. Experience with compliance programs, legal training, and executive reporting. Advanced English (regular communication with global teams). Postgraduate studies in Corporate or Labor Law preferred. Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is a plus. Willingness to travel within Mexico. Key Competencies: Ethical leadership with emotional intelligence and results orientation. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead legal projects at different organizational levels. Collaborative mindset with experience in multicultural, matrix environments.
