Job Description

NPI Project Manager II This role is within Chamberlain Group's Nogales NPI Projects group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Lead multiple medium complexity NPD, derivative, quality improvement and productivity projects, and (ii) Manage Operations cross-functional teams, ensuring project milestones are meet on time and within project budget; Provide direction, assign responsibilities and address issues for project team members, understanding their unique and complimentary roles, interdependencies and responsibility of each within the project framework. Requires 5 years of experience in managing multiple projects and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, technical degree, or equivalent experience. Lead multiple medium complexity NPD, derivative, quality improvement and productivity projects Manage Operations cross-functional teams, ensuring project milestones are meet on time and within project budget; Provide direction, assign responsibilities and address issues for project team members, understanding their unique and complimentary roles, interdependencies and responsibility of each within the project framework Responsible for tracking and managing all project charges, developing project presentations, advising management of project status and managing and reporting all project costs Represent Operations as a member of NPD program CORE teams Work with functional area managers or their representatives to develop Operations Project Plans that meet stakeholder expectations and established project deliverables; Write Proposals (technical descriptions, schedules, cost breakdowns) Coordinate the efforts for functional departments to ensure that the projects are managed in accordance with established policies and procedures; Support and implement policies, procedures and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (TS 16949, APQP and AIAG) Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate verification techniques Identify and communicate high-level risks, assumptions and constraints Develop cost estimates and execute cost reduction strategies Implement approved action plans and workarounds to mitigate project risk events Create strong customer relations and communication including negotiations and delivery of services Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree, technical degree, or equivalent experience Experience: 5 years of experience in managing multiple projects Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent leadership skills Strong computer skills (especially MS Project or similar software) Strong knowledge of Windchill Working knowledge of SAP Proven ability to create detailed project plans and use resources efficiently Ability to gather complex data and diagnose the cause of a problem Other: Advanced English Proficiency
