Job Description

This Superintendent role offers the opportunity to manage day-to-day field operations on healthcare and commercial interior projects throughout NYC. You'll be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and with the highest level of craftsmanship. *Client Details* Our client is a highly respected general contractor and construction manager with a strong presence across the five boroughs. They specialize in healthcare facilities, corporate interiors, and complex renovations in occupied environments. Known for their dedication to quality, safety, and client satisfaction, they are a trusted partner to major healthcare systems and institutional clients. *Description* * Manage all field operations including scheduling, logistics, coordination, and subcontractor supervision * Enforce site safety protocols in strict compliance with OSHA and NYC DOB regulations * Ensure all work is executed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards * Maintain project schedules and coordinate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers * Lead daily jobsite meetings and prepare daily reports, safety checklists, and progress documentation * Coordinate with hospital facilities teams and other stakeholders to minimize disruptions in occupied spaces * Proactively resolve field issues and communicate updates to leadership and clients * Oversee inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities *Profile* You are a seasoned field leader who thrives on fast-paced, technically challenging projects. You are organized, proactive, and have deep knowledge of construction in active environments like hospitals or office towers. *Qualifications:* * 5 years of superintendent experience in commercial or healthcare construction (NYC projects preferred) * Strong knowledge of MEP systems and coordination in healthcare environments * Proven ability to manage logistics and scheduling on tight urban job sites * OSHA 30 certification required; NYC Site Safety Training (SST) card mandatory * Familiarity with infection control protocols and ICRA requirements (for healthcare work) * Experience managing projects in occupied, live environments with minimal disruption * Proficient in Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and field reporting tools * Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills * Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals * Background in carpentry or trades a plus; strong field presence required *Job Offer* * Competitive salary with bonus potential * Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and PTO * Company vehicle or travel allowance (depending on project location) * Long-term pipeline of healthcare and interior work across NYC * Clear path to General Superintendent or Field Operations leadership roles MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
