Maintenance Technician

Full training will be provided due to the bespoke nature of their machinery, and for the right person, there is a clear path to progress into a Maintenance Team Leader role within just six months. What we need from you: You will need to be a time-served apprentice with minimum 5 years additional experience Hold a Mechanical Engineering Qualification / HNC preferable Basic pneumatic and electrical experience Be familiar with the use of workshop equipment consisting of lathes, surface grinders and pillar drills Be competent in conducting mechanical fault finding Have planned preventative maintenance experience Process administrative skills and computer literate - Microsoft 365 Highly motivated, proactive & progressive, and innovative What this role involves: Carry out maintenance tasks as scheduled during and identifying deterioration in quality performance from the machine standard Use manuals and failure history to develop preventative tasks Prevent losses (equipment damage), accidents or injuries through use or maintenance of equipment Ensure equipment is handed back to production in 100% safe condition Be aware of incident reports and work with operational managers to promptly implement solutions to prevent re-occurrence Complete corrective actions to return equipment to standard output, quality, and waste levels Respond immediately to equipment failures Conduct systematic, rigorous, and accurate fault diagnosis Determine most effective solution to the fault Effect the solution, and record on nature of fault, cause, and solution via computerised maintenance system using Excel Salary: £35,000 per year 4% bonus. Hours: 6:45am 4pm Mon Thurs and 6:45am - 11:45am Friday.
