Job Description
Research and Development Engineer Your new company We are working on an exciting & interesting role for our client, who are an innovative and fast-growing company that designs, manufactures, and supplies specialist roofing systems. They supply Tier 1 construction companies, roofing contractors, and the solar industry with unique, high-performance products that solve complex issues like waterproofing riser penetrations and structural fixings. Your new role We are looking for a technically skilled and highly organised individual to join the Research and Development team. This full-time, on-premises role is ideal for someone with a strong engineering background and a passion for product development. You will lead and support projects through the entire R&D lifecycle—from concept to launch—ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and manufacturing capabilities. Key responsibilities include: Collaborating with stakeholders to define product specifications and strategy Conducting market and technical research to identify new opportunities Leading cross-functional teams through the R&D process Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources Ensuring product compatibility with manufacturing processes Supporting quality assurance and product reliability efforts What you'll need to succeed We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in engineering and a proven track record in R&D within the construction product sector. The ideal candidate will come from a larger organisation and have experience of developing complex products for the built environment.
