Commercial Manager

Role: Commercial Manager Location: Lincolnshire Company: Dowling Civil Engineering Dowling Civil Engineering , a leading sub-contractor specialising in road & sewer projects, housing developments and groundworks, seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their commercial team in Lincoln. The role involves working on projects across the Lincolnshire region, with office-based work and occasional site visits. Key Responsibilities: Lead the commercial team within the company Overseeing the commercial and financial aspects of the company Provide advice and guidance on contractual matters, risk management, and legal implications. Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Advise and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors and the Estimating department. Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the projects. Manage the procurement process, ensuring the selection of the right sub-contractors. Prepare reports on project progress such as financial performance and any issues requiring attention. · Ensure that all commercial documentation is accurately prepared and maintained. · Lead change management processes and assess the financial impact of variations and claims. · Liaise with clients and sub-contractors to ensure satisfaction and resolve any commercial issues.
