We’re Hiring: Mechanical Technician (3-Month Contract) – Barrow, UK Are you a hands-on Mechanical Technician with a passion for safety and technical excellence? Join our team in Barrow for a 3-month contract and bring your skills to a high-performing, safety-focused environment. Location: Barrow, UK Duration: 3 Months Pay Rate: £23.70/hour Employment Type: Contract Key Responsibilities: Conduct fault-finding, testing, and improvements on machinery and control equipment Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on operational equipment Collaborate with Engineers to modify and test prototypes Record test procedures, results, and assist in detailed planning of maintenance activities Uphold safety and environmental standards and contribute to continuous improvement Maintain high housekeeping standards and follow emergency and operational procedures Who We’re Looking For: Recognised apprenticeship in a relevant field (ideally NVQ Level 3) Minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent (including Maths and English) Ideally working towards or already possess an HNC/HND in Engineering Strong awareness of safety protocols Flexible, committed, with solid problem-solving skills Comfortable using computers and technical systems Great team player with strong interpersonal skills You’ll Work Closely With: Engineering teams, shift team members, and asset teams.
