Job Description

Sr. Analyst, Finance - Operations A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Develop yearly budget and monthly financial forecasts for the manufacturing cost centers, which will drive appropriate and timely decision-making, and (ii) Monitor and analyze monthly overhead spending and cost reduction project results; identify relevant trends and key drivers on the reasons for variance; advise senior leadership of opportunities and risk. Requires 5 years of financial support in a manufacturing organization and a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related degree. Develop yearly budget and monthly financial forecasts for the manufacturing cost centers, which will drive appropriate and timely decision-making Monitor and analyze monthly overhead spending and cost reduction project results; identify relevant trends and key drivers on the reasons for variance; advise senior leadership of opportunities and risk Responsible for month-end activities related to expense classifications and accruals; Assist in the preparations of monthly operational reviews and other recurring deliverables Act as primary contact and support for productivity and capital spending projects for assigned cost centers; train non-financial users on capital purchase request form (CPR) Report spend activity including value-add analysis to provide the manufacturing cost centers a deeper understanding of spend and to help identify additional efficiency opportunities Maintain and communicate status on current expenditures to assist the manufacturing cost center management teams with effective business decision-making Identify process improvements to reduce finance business process cycle times, improve financial forecast quality, and enhance information provided to leadership for business decisions. Education/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree Experience: 5 years of financial support in a manufacturing organization Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge using ERP financial systems (e.g., SAP) and data analysis Ability to work and manage relationships in a matrix, manufacturing environment Other: Intermediate English written and oral communication skills Ability to travel occasionally - North America
