Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a SAP Payment Engine (FS-PE) Consultant located in Bengaluru, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the schedule. The Consultant will be responsible for understanding business processes, providing critical analytical support, consulting on SAP FICO and Master Data, and ensuring efficient implementation and customization of SAP Payment Engine (FS-PE). Key tasks include analyzing business requirements, configuring the SAP payment engine, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver optimal : - Understand and analyze complex business requirements related to payment processing across various channels and payment methods. - Provide expert-level functional and technical consulting on the SAP Payment Engine (FS-PE) module. - Lead the design, configuration, and customization of SAP FS-PE to meet specific business requirements, including payment formats, routing rules, clearing processes, and settlement configurations. - Possess a strong understanding of the integration points between SAP FS-PE and other SAP modules, particularly SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) and Master Data (Business Partner, Bank Master). - Configure and manage payment methods, house banks, and account determination within SAP FS-PE. - Define and implement payment formats (e.g., SEPA, SWIFT, NACHA) and mapping rules. - Configure and manage payment routing rules and determination logic within FS-PE. - Implement and manage payment clearing processes and integration with clearing houses and banks. - Configure and manage payment settlement processes and reconciliation with SAP FICO. - Develop and maintain custom enhancements and extensions to SAP FS-PE using relevant tools and technologies. - Perform thorough system testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for FS-PE configurations and customizations. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP FS-PE functionality, configurations, and integrations. - Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, functional consultants (especially in SAP FICO), technical teams (including ABAP developers and Basis administrators), and external partners (e.g., banks, payment service providers). - Provide clear and concise documentation for FS-PE configurations, processes, and solutions. - Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP FS-PE functionalities, updates, and industry best practices in payment processing. - Participate in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements related to SAP FS-PE. - Provide knowledge transfer and training to end-users and other team members on SAP FS-PE functionalities. - Analyze and optimize the performance of SAP FS-PE processes. - Participate in the development of data migration strategies and execution for FS-PE related data. Technical Skills : - SAP Payment Engine (FS-PE): Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP Payment Engine (FS-PE). - Payment Processing Knowledge: Deep understanding of end-to-end payment processing flows, including various payment methods, clearing and settlement processes, and industry standards. - SAP FICO Integration: Strong understanding of the integration points between SAP FS-PE and SAP FICO, including account determination, posting logic, and reconciliation processes. - SAP Master Data: Knowledge of SAP Master Data objects relevant to payment processing, such as Business Partner and Bank Master. - Payment Formats: Experience in configuring and managing various payment formats (e.g., SEPA, SWIFT, NACHA, BAI2). - Payment Routing: Expertise in defining and implementing payment routing rules and determination logic within FS-PE. - Clearing and Settlement: Strong understanding of payment clearing and settlement processes and integration with clearing houses and banks. - Customization and Enhancements: Experience in developing custom enhancements and extensions to SAP FS-PE using relevant tools (e.g., ABAP User Exits, BAdIs). - Testing and Debugging: Proven ability to perform thorough testing of FS-PE configurations and customizations, and to debug issues effectively. - Integration Technologies: Familiarity with integration technologies relevant to payment processing, such as APIs and file-based interfaces. - Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting. - SAP Solution Manager: Experience with SAP Solution Manager for project management, testing, and documentation is a plus. Functional Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into SAP FS-PE solutions. - Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. - Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively. - Strong understanding of financial business processes related to payments. - Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the payment processing domain. - Ability to create clear and concise functional and technical Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience as an SAP Payment Engine (FS-PE) Consultant. - Proven experience in at least two full lifecycle SAP FS-PE implementation projects. - Strong understanding of payment processing concepts and integration with SAP FICO. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - SAP certification in Payment Engine (FS-PE) is highly desirable. Bonus Points: - Experience with specific payment service providers and banking interfaces. - Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance and its impact on payment processing. - Experience with other SAP Financial Services modules. - Familiarity with agile project methodologies.
