Job Description

Minimum Experience - 6 Relevant Years Role Description This is a contract role for an AWS Developer. The role is hybrid, based in Bengaluru with some work from home acceptable. The AWS Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing scalable and secure cloud-native applications using AWS services. Daily tasks include writing code, maintaining AWS infrastructure, deploying applications, and collaborating with the development team to integrate solutions. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native applications and services on the AWS platform. - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go. - Architect and implement robust and secure AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform. - Implement and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools. - Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like ECS or Kubernetes (EKS). - Monitor application performance and infrastructure health using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools, proactively identifying and resolving issues. - Implement and maintain security best practices across the AWS environment, ensuring compliance with security policies and standards. - Collaborate effectively with other developers, architects, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions, and integrate applications. - Troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure issues in a timely manner. - Optimize application performance and cost efficiency within the AWS environment. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards. - Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices. - Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation. Technical Skills : - AWS Services: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services as listed in the Responsibilities section. - Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, Node.js, or Go. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong experience with IaC tools such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform. - CI/CD Pipelines: Experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools. - Containerization: Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms like ECS or Kubernetes (EKS). - Networking: Solid understanding of AWS networking concepts and services (VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, Load Balancers, Route 53, CloudFront). - Security Best Practices: Demonstrated understanding and implementation of security best practices in AWS. - Monitoring and Logging: Experience with AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring and logging tools. - Version Control: Proficient in using Git and related version control workflows. - Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies. Functional Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. - Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a team and with stakeholders. - Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for the quality and reliability of the delivered solutions. - Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools quickly. Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in designing, developing, and deploying applications on the AWS platform. - Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines in AWS. - Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and best practices. - AWS Certified Developer Associate or higher certification is highly desirable.
