Class Summary Job Description The Trades Technician II will be responsible for performing plumbing installations, repairs, and general maintenance; and responding to field and emergency calls to troubleshoot damage, repair/replace damaged electrical apparatuses. This position will assign work to staff and follow up on work completed in the absence of the Foreman. Essential Duties * Ensuring staff are trained and they follow all county and department policies and procedures * Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment * Maintaining their own work truck and keeping it stocked according to SOP * Responsible for county-issued credit card, cell phone, and tablet * Processing daily work requests and processes in Computerized Asset Management System * Assists with operating budget process * Preparing and maintaining records and reports Public Speaking Duties * Participate in meetings and safety committees Other Job Requirements/Information * This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing. Grade The grade for this position is B21(3). Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. Minimum Qualifications * High School Diploma, or G.E.D. In addition to the executive side of County government, certain services are provided through Constitutional officers and independent elected officials. These external offices are created by the Georgia Constitution or through state law.
