A Director of Revenue & Distribution is responsible for maximizing overall hotel room revenue through reservations by implementing proactive selling strategies and action plans. This includes effective inventory and pricing strategies based on future demand, current trends, and historical data to drive and achieve the budgeted revenue, thereby maintaining a healthy business. Principal Accountabilities Manage and lead the team through day-to-day operations, as well as strategically guide the Revenue department to achieve team and organizational goals. Drive market share and revenue performance through proper pricing and mix management using competitive reports. Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand the impact of pricing decisions on property performance. Develop an overall pricing strategy encompassing all market segments and distribution channels. Provide guidance on corporate transient, group, and wholesale pricing, ensuring effective strategies that reflect asset strength relative to the competition. Ensure compliance with the Best Rate Guarantee. Manage all inventory (transient, group, wholesale allotments, and others) and pricing strategies across all distribution channels including branded websites, third-party sites, and GDS. Proactively identify need periods and prepare a plan in cooperation with hotel sales, marketing, and regional resources. Ensure effective implementation and compliance with METT Revenue Management Standards. Communicate the strategic vision and objectives clearly to the hotel team on how to drive revenue and improve performance. Lead weekly revenue management meetings and contribute to daily operations meetings. Ensure team members are knowledgeable about relevant processes, policies, and promotions. Manage staff performance in accordance with company policies and procedures. Perform other relevant duties as assigned. Communication & Working Relationships Communicate professionally with subordinates, fostering a productive working environment. Coordinate with different departments to ensure effective communication. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience BA degree in Business, Hospitality, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 5 years experience in Revenue Management within the hospitality industry (preferably 5-star hotels or resorts). Excellent negotiation and leadership skills. Proficiency in computer skills and management skills. Strong analytical and project management skills. Good understanding of external markets and competitor positioning. Knowledge of policies and procedures, including their development and application. High coaching skills to maintain a positive and supportive role with managers and teams. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Highly cooperative team spirit.
