Senior Java Software Engineer

About the Role: GlobalLogic is looking for a Java Software Engineer with strong experience in both relational and non-relational database systems, and hands-on skills in backend development using Java 8 or 17 . This role involves close collaboration with customer engineers, contributing to system architecture, and supporting teammates in delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate is not only proficient in software development but also has a solid understanding of database operations and administration , particularly with PostgreSQL and Azure Data Explorer (ADX) . This is a great opportunity to work on enterprise-grade applications with a talented global team. Job Responsibilities: Participate actively in project meetings and technical discussions. Collaborate closely with customer engineers to define and deliver solutions. Contribute to architecture design , software development, and optimization. Analyze technical requirements and help translate them into implementation plans. Provide support and mentorship to junior developers on the team. Ensure adherence to coding standards and quality best practices. Work as a strong team player in a collaborative and agile environment. Minimum Qualifications (Must-Have): 4 years of experience with Java (preferably Java 8 or 17) . Strong knowledge of relational databases , especially PostgreSQL . Experience with non-relational databases and database operations . Practical knowledge of database administration and performance tuning. Experience working with Azure Data Explorer (ADX) . Familiarity with Microsoft Azure as a cloud platform. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Good communication skills and ability to work in distributed teams. Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have): Azure certifications or formal cloud training. Experience in database testing and validation in enterprise environments. Ability to design, document, and execute scalable database architecture strategies.
