Production Support Data Engineer

Position Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Production Support Consultant to join our remote team in Mexico. In this role, you will be the first line of defense for production issues, collaborate with investment teams, troubleshoot data anomalies, and work closely with data engineers and external data vendors. Your contributions will directly impact the performance, reliability, and efficiency of our data processing environment. Key Responsibilities Rapidly triage and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and business disruption. Work closely with external vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Nasdaq, etc.) to address connectivity and data issues. Collaborate with internal teams to improve data pipelines and ensure high-quality data delivery. Manage and optimize data ingestion jobs from vendors, resolving scheduling conflicts and failures. Provide technical support to investment researchers regarding data issues. Participate in system upgrades, data implementations, and incident post-mortems. Continuously improve operational workflows and tools to enhance incident response time. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3 years of experience in production support or devops for data-intensive environments. Strong Python skills for data-related operations and troubleshooting. Solid SQL skills and ability to investigate and fix data anomalies. Familiarity with Linux, GIT, SQL Server. Experience working with financial market data vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Nasdaq). Strong analytical and communication skills. Comfortable working during New York business hours or overnight shifts. Nice to Have Experience with Tidal Enterprise Scheduler. Hands-on experience in Python-based data engineering. Understanding of cloud technologies and cost/performance optimization.
