Job Description
RINA is currently recruiting for a R&D Project Manager to join its offices in Genoa or Rome within the Management Consulting Division. Mission As an R&D Project Manager working on European-funded Research and Development (R&D) projects, your primary role is to oversee proposal and project management, from proposal writing to project execution and completion. In the proposal stage, you will lead and coordinate proposal writing tasks, ensuring alignment with funding requirements and strategic priorities. During project execution, you will be responsible for implementing projects, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring compliance with grant obligations while maximizing impact and innovation. The projects will typically focus on green transition across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, automotive, space, and health. Key Accountabilities Scouting and Analysis: Collaborate with senior consultants to identify European funded R&D opportunities and assess project feasibility. Consortium Building Support: Support the identification of partners and the establishment of project consortia. Proposal Development Assistance: Contribute to proposal development, ensuring compliance with requirements. Project Management: Develop project plans, manage resources and budgets, lead teams, and mitigate risks. Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication and build relationships with stakeholders. Compliance Oversight: Ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to reporting. Risk Mitigation: Identify risks and support mitigation strategies. Education Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering or Biomedical Engineering. Qualifications Preferred: Master in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Information Engineering. PhD or 2 years of experience managing European and international R&D projects, with experience in energy systems, renewable gases, or biofuels preferred.
