Job Description: HEAD OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Our client is an ambitious, innovative startup of passionate people creating a new category of non-alcoholic drinks . They aim to celebrate courage and exploration through their brand and products. We are seeking a leader to guide the core of Product Development. About the job: Strategic Product Development: Transform visionary ideas into tangible products by investigating and introducing new raw materials and botanicals, blending them into tasty alcohol-free liquids. Collaborate with the Research team and external partners to innovate processes and technologies for superior flavor and quality. Develop cutting-edge formulations: Focus on shelf-stable products, ensuring optimal flavor, aroma, and shelf life through meticulous testing. Source high-quality ingredients: Work closely with suppliers, emphasizing forgotten and undervalued plants, roots, and herbs. Manage R&D projects: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring milestones, deadlines, and budgets are met. Collaborate with culinary experts: Build partnerships with chefs and sommeliers for recipe development. Set KPIs: Establish clear metrics to measure project success from conception to launch. Customer-Centric Market Analysis Engage key customers (chefs, sommeliers, consumers) to understand their needs through panels and feedback sessions. Analyze market trends and customer insights to inform product improvements and future innovations. Foster Innovation and Collaboration Act as a bridge between departments—Product Development, Research, Production, Sales, Marketing—to ensure strategic alignment. Promote a culture of experimentation, encouraging bold ideas, testing, and iteration. Qualifications: Scientific degree in food technologies, microbiology, biology, oenology, or related fields. At least 5 years of experience, preferably in R&D within the food industry; experience with beverages like beer, wine, yogurt, or kombucha is advantageous. Passion for gastronomy and interest in innovative food and drink development. Strong data analysis skills for research interpretation. Entrepreneurial, explorative, pragmatic, and independent mindset. Excellent team-player with project management skills and effective communication abilities. Diverse and inclusive mindset; proficiency in English required, Italian is a plus. Willing to work in Trentino, North of Trento. Location: Trentino (North of Trento) J-18808-Ljbffr
