Commercial Construction Business Development Representative $90-110k base plus commission Kathleen, GA About the Role: Our client, a well-established commercial construction firm based in Kathleen, GA, is seeking an experienced and well-connected Business Development Representative to spearhead strategic growth initiatives across Middle Georgia. This is a high-impact role focused on generating new business opportunities, expanding client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and project acquisitions. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Lead Generation Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial construction sector. Research potential clients, market trends, and upcoming projects in the region. Maintain a pipeline of prospects including developers, architects, property managers, and government entities. Leverage bid platforms such as Dodge Data & Analytics, The Blue Book, and BidClerk. Networking & Relationship Building Attend local and regional industry events, trade shows, and networking functions. Build and sustain relationships with key decision-makers, including general contractors, real estate developers, and municipal officials. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to foster referrals and partnerships. Sales & Proposal Management Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals, presentations, and bid submissions. Coordinate with internal estimating and preconstruction teams to craft competitive, profitable bids. Negotiate terms and close deals in alignment with company goals. Track all outreach, leads, and client engagement activity using CRM software. Marketing & Brand Awareness Work with internal marketing to enhance brand visibility and develop promotional content. Showcase the company's capabilities through case studies, project portfolios, and online campaigns. Use social media, email marketing, and website updates to attract and engage prospects. Strategic Planning & Reporting Develop and execute a strategic business development plan targeting key growth areas. Monitor market demands, competitor activities, and project pipeline forecasts. Report regularly to leadership on progress, challenges, and new opportunities. Qualifications & Skills Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred). Experience : Minimum 7 years in business development, sales, or related roles within the commercial construction industry. Industry Knowledge : Deep understanding of commercial construction project lifecycles and delivery methods. Sales Acumen : Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Networking Ability : Demonstrated success in building professional networks and closing deals. Analytical Thinking : Ability to interpret market trends and build data-driven growth strategies. Tech Skills : Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction bid platforms. Local Knowledge : Established network and familiarity with Middle Georgia market players and opportunities. Why Join?
