Job Description Position Summary The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met throughout the hotel. This role assists in supervising staff, managing inventory, and upholding service excellence to enhance the guest experience. This position reports to the Director of Housekeeping The budgeted salary range for this position is $57,000 - $63,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus. Job Posting Deadline Applications for this position will be accepted until June 22, 2025. Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities • Assist in overseeing daily housekeeping operations and staff performance • Ensure guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and quality standards • Support scheduling, training, and mentoring of housekeeping team members • Conduct daily inspections of rooms and common areas • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linen, and coordinate orders as needed • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related issues • Collaborate with Front Office and Maintenance teams for efficient room turnover • Enforce safety and sanitation standards throughout the property • Assist in managing departmental budgets and controlling labor costs • Monitor compliance with hotel policies and brand standards • Support the Director of Housekeeping with administrative tasks and team leadership • Other duties as assigned Qualifications Education & Experience Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent required • 2 years of management experience preferred • 5 years of housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and sanitation standards • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and hotel safety protocols • Proficient in using housekeeping management systems and scheduling software • Excellent leadership and team supervision skills • Strong organizational and time management abilities • Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards • Ability to train, motivate, and develop team members • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Customer service-oriented with a professional and positive demeanor • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment • Capable of working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays • Basic understanding of inventory control and supply management • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed Additional Information Work Environment & Physical Demands • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time • Regularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces • Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50) Job Benefits This position is classified as a regular full-time position eligible for the following benefits: Enrollment dates differ across the various programs. • Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Programs • Flexible Spending Account Programs • Life Insurance Programs • Paid Time Off Programs • Paid Leave Programs • 401(k) Savings Plan • Employee Ski Pass and Dependent Ski Passes • Other company perks The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
