Social network you want to login/join with: Job Title: Sr. Service Desk Support Technician Location with zip code: Alexandria, VA Duration: Full time Clearance Required: Secret Certification Required: Current DoD IAT Level II certification (required at performance start date): CCNA Security, CySA, Security CE, etc. Job Description: As a Sr. Service Desk Support Technician , you will provide Tier support for escalated hardware, network, and software issues by end-users for DODEA. You will support user and incident requests utilizing existing procedures to monitor, track, and resolve work orders in a timely manner. Highlights of Responsibilities: Answer helpdesk calls and respond to ServiceNow tickets. Evaluate, prioritize, solve, and escalate tickets to the appropriate Tier Support, or correct ticket assignments as required. Follow up with users/customers to ensure resolution, closing tickets only when issues are resolved satisfactorily. Document incidents with detailed break-fix steps and resolutions in Remedy ticket tracking system. Provide advanced customer service and support. Communicate professionally and courteously with high-profile customers. Install, upgrade, and configure customer-specific hardware and software. Perform advanced troubleshooting to diagnose IT problems on desktops and peripherals, including software and hardware issues. Provide remote and on-site hardware and software troubleshooting support. Troubleshoot and support Windows OS, advanced MS Office issues, and other IT problems. Upgrade software components as needed. Provide network technical support to customers. Instruct customers and support staff in the use of equipment and software. Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner. Requirements: Active Secret security clearance at performance start date. High School diploma. years of IT experience. Current DoD IAT Level II certification (required at performance start date): CCNA Security, CySA, Security CE, etc. Preferred Education and Experience: ITIL v Foundations and HDI Desktop Support Technician or A certifications relevant to service desk support. Experience supporting PC hardware and software systems. Prior experience in a fast-paced DoD environment. J-18808-Ljbffr
