We invest heavily in R&D to ensure a steady flow of APIs and timely market introduction. Main responsibilities and activities Reporting to the Site General Manager, the EHS Lead will: Ensure regulatory compliance through audits and corrective actions. Identify and mitigate EHS risks, ensuring compliance with EHS and cGMP standards. Develop, implement, and monitor the annual EHS plan in collaboration with site leadership. Provide data and information to support EHS objectives and communicate with stakeholders. Foster a proactive, open EHS culture aimed at 'target zero' incidents. Develop training programs, coach, and guide staff on EHS best practices. Lead continuous EHS improvements using Operational Excellence principles. Participate actively as a member of the site leadership team and the global EHS community. Manage relations with regulatory agencies, local communities, and suppliers. Ensure safety responsibilities are met according to Italian Law D.Lgs 81/2008, supervising work safety and directives. Requirements Essential: Full compliance with GMP, GDP, and Data Integrity standards. Adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations and company values. Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science; Master’s in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environment is a plus. Legal professional certifications required when applicable; additional certifications like CSP, CIH are advantageous. Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 management systems. Languages: Fluent in English and Italian. Experience: At least 4 years of EHS experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
