Mission Develop the mechanical structure of new platforms for the BU Wet, evaluating the best compromise in terms of quality, performance, and cost. Responsibilities Define the best mechanical configuration according to the technical specs, evaluating similar products produced by competitors, dimensioning the mechanical components based on estimated mechanical stress to meet the technical specs, while controlling product cost and ensuring feasibility for mass production. Create and manage the Engineering BOM throughout the product’s lifecycle using the PLM related to CAD, enabling logistics to create and maintain the Production BOM. Propose new components, materials, or technologies to develop new products, investigating technological advancements that could facilitate assembly and reduce component costs. Manage the Component Approval Plan, tracking all activities related to approval processes using CAP manager software for each new or modified component. Work daily with suppliers to evaluate samples, gather feedback, and implement modifications to improve components. Oversee the mechanical structure of platforms during their lifecycle, resolving obsolescence issues and updating configurations to keep the product current. Manage coding of new or revised components using PLM and ERP systems to ensure product documentation is always up to date. Requirements High school technical education; bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus. Strong knowledge of 3D CAD. Basic knowledge of PLM and ERP systems. Experience in international environments, including basic knowledge of mechanical FE analysis, CFD analysis, plastic injection molding FE analysis, and Six Sigma design principles. J-18808-Ljbffr
