Senior Data Engineer

Job Role: Lead Data Engineer Job Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico (On-site) Job Type: Full time Client Name : Xsolla Job Summary We are building a new team for our client Xsolla to drive innovation at the intersection of machine learning and game monetization. We're seeking a Senior Lead Data Engineer to lead the design and execution of large-scale, low-latency data systems that power ML pipelines. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone passionate about data, experimentation, and working in fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities Lead a team of data engineers to deliver scalable, resilient ML data pipelines. Design and implement real-time and batch data processing solutions. Collaborate with data scientists to optimize data for model training and inference. Own and evolve the Kanban-based workflow for product maintenance and ML experimentation. Maintain data integrity, quality, and lineage across the pipeline. Advocate for best practices, emerging tools, and technology upgrades. Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external data partners. Tech Skills Requirements Proven experience building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines . Expertise in Kafka , SQL/NoSQL databases, and distributed systems like Spark or Hadoop . Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Hands-on with ETL , data wrangling , data versioning , and data lineage . Capable of handling 1TB/day data volumes in production environments. Experience with monitoring , alerting , and pipeline performance tuning. Strong understanding of data governance , privacy (e.g., GDPR), and security standards . ✅ Must Have 5 years in data engineering, preferably supporting ML workflows. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Strong collaboration skills with ML teams and product stakeholders. Hands-on experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture. Good to Have Experience in the gaming industry , especially monetization or game telemetry. Background in adtech or high-frequency transactional systems .
