DRE Car Interiors - Seats

The DRE is responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and release of interior systems. Other responsibilities will include development and validation of assigned components and communicating technical product status and competitor benchmarking to management. Individual will be responsible for coordinating the packaging with all adjacent departments. Will be responsible for working with virtual validation groups to ensure that the CAE scorecard is met as well as manufacturing feasibility. Will be responsible for maintaining and updating DVP&R, DFMEA. Also responsible to support & manage suppliers for quality actions and VO activities. Engineer needs to support meeting throughout NA work hours and work closely with local engineering teams, Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, program science teams & PDO with iterative models to align with all packaging, functional objectives and system requirements. We are looking specifically for someone with experience designing seats for any kind of vehicle. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program 3-5 yrs of relevant engineering experience Experience with injection molding, painting, and decorating plastic components Experience with OEM or supplier design and release Experience with NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R creation and execution Experience with compontent builds and execution Experience with production process feasibility and developement including mold flow analysis or other interior compontent manufacturing processes Availability to travel occassionally Applicants must reside and be legally authorized to work in Mexico
