We’re hiring right now for a Java developer senior to join our winning team. This is a full-time permanent role based at our totally amazing offices right in the heart of Providencia. Our teams typically come together in the office two days a week to connect, collaborate, and celebrate wins. How you’ll make an impact: We’re looking for a Java developer with 5 years of experience to design and build scalable backend REST services. You’ll participate in all stages of the SDLC, contribute to automation and testing, and help define engineering best practices. Experience with Java, Spring, REST APIs, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is essential. Strong communication and a collaborative mindset are key. You prove your designs are performant to architecture and leadership. Inevitably challenges will arise, and we’ll rely on you to look for a solution. You design, develop and maintain high quality software solutions. Your role in action: Participate in relevant aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, planning, testing, reviews, and demonstrations. Work with product owners, analysts, and engineers to plan, design, develop test automation, test, and implement information technology solutions. Develop Automation based off detailed understanding of the page object design pattern and its implementation. Support development, testing and deployment of application software releases to production and nonproduction environments. Define engineering best practices, mentor teams to write elegant code using Test Driven Development methodologies. Review and create system, software, and functional design specifications. Could this be you? 5 years of Java development experience. Designing and implementing stable, performant, scalable, and maintainable backend REST services helping Travelport to reduce operational costs. Providing a challenging and nurturing environment for newer developers to thrive and grow. Delivering major initiatives that are mission-critical to the organization. Trailblazing for the organization and the industry into modern technologies and strategies. Strong communication skills verbal and written. A team player mindset, working alongside a diverse set of teams across the organization. Applied object-oriented design principles and design patterns. Experience in the development of scalable enterprise applications in JSON, REST and microservices on private and public Cloud providers. Experience with Linux, REST APIs, Spring/Hibernate, SonarQube, HTTPS, XML, WSDL, SQL, NoSQL, and SOAP services; and familiarity with JSON, OpenAPI, tools like Postman, Insomnia, or any REST API testing tool, and modern IDEs such as IntelliJ or Eclipse. Experience with JUnit, REST-Assured or other automated testing technologies/tools.
