GROUP TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR OXFORDSHIRE £110K – £130K THE COMPANY Ready to take full ownership of a fast-growing tech function? THE ROLE As a Technology Director , you will take strategic and operational ownership of the engineering function, leading teams across multiple regions while defining and implementing modern software architecture practices. You'll play a central role in shaping the company’s technical vision and ensuring its systems are robust, scalable, and fit for purpose. Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following: Leading the migration from legacy systems to AWS cloud infrastructure Driving the shift from a monolithic architecture to containerised services using Docker Introducing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for more efficient deployments Building and mentoring engineering teams, both national and overseas Collaborating closely with the senior management team Instilling best practices, agile delivery, and scalable processes as the business prepares to double in size Key role in the senior management team, with direct influence on business growth and technical strategy Autonomy to build teams, shape culture, and define engineering best practice SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE The successful Technology Director will have the following skills and experience: High level engineering leadership experience Proven experience in cloud migration at scale , especially within AWS Hands-on understanding of DevOps principles , IaC tools like Terraform , and containerisation (e.g., Docker ) Ideally background in high-growth eCommerce, retail, or logistics environments Experience managing international and cross-functional engineering teams Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills at senior/executive level BENEFITS The successful Technology Director will receive the following benefits: Salary between £110,000 – £130,000 , depending on experience Hybrid working More benefits HOW TO APPLY Please register your interest by sending your resume/CV to Joana Alves via the Apply link on this page.
