M&E Manager / Building Services Manager – Tier 1 Main Contractor £75k - £90k Benefits Package Stanmore & Hayes – Two Education Projects Premises Recruitment are currently working with a Top 20 UK Main Contractor, part of a financially robust international group with a strong forward order book of UK building projects. Current schemes range from £50m to £350m, across residential, mixed-use, healthcare, and education sectors. The Opportunity: We’re seeking an experienced M&E Manager / Building Services Manager / Technical Services Manager to join the delivery team on two major education projects in Stanmore and Hayes. A £50m new build secondary school A £40m new build extension and refurbishment of a secondary school Both projects are 3-year programmes This role is site-based, working across both projects concurrently. You’ll report into the Project Director and will take full ownership of the MEP elements from procurement through to handover, including testing and commissioning. Responsibilities: Lead MEP delivery across two concurrent projects (£90m total value) Procure, coordinate and supervise M&E activities on site Oversee main MEP subcontractor and related CDP package interfaces Manage MEP design development and coordination with external consultants Ensure MEP delivery is aligned to H&S, programme, cost, and quality expectations Attend technical reviews and manage production of tech subs Coordinate testing and commissioning phases Lead and mentor site-based MEP team (supervisors, engineers etc.) Liaise daily with site and construction teams to ensure integration of MEP works with the wider build programme Requirements: Proven experience managing full MEP packages on large-scale projects (£15m MEP value preferred) Mechanical or Electrical background, ideally with formal qualifications MEP delivery experience with a main contractor or major MEP subcontractor Strong understanding of building services design, programme management, and commissioning Track record delivering high-quality M&E packages on education, healthcare, or similar complex projects IT literate with good attention to detail and report writing capability Experience overseeing multiple blocks or sites concurrently is advantageous The contractor is known for investing in and promoting their staff, with a collaborative working environment and clear career progression routes.
