German Linguist – Remote in Spain

Project Location: Spain (Remote / Work from Home) Engagement Model: Permanent Discontinuous Employment Contract; Full-Time Language Needed: German Expected Start: June 2025 Engagement Duration: 9 months DataForce by TransPerfect is currently looking for a German Linguist to join our team remotely from Spain. This project focuses on data curation and evaluation to support the development of fair and accurate AI/ML systems in the field of language technology. Task Description: As a Linguist, you will be responsible for curating and evaluating linguistic data, reviewing outputs from speech models, and running scripts for task automation (execution only, no coding). You'll work closely with our team to provide analysis and feedback that improves data quality and system performance. Requirements: Reside in Spain Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics Idiomatic fluency in German and advanced English skills Understand linguistic concepts such as phonetics, syntax, semantics, and morphology Be detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills Be able to work independently and manage tasks efficiently Be comfortable running command-line scripts (no development required) Have good communication skills, both written and verbal Experience in data curation or linguistic evaluation is a plus French or Italian proficiency is also a plus DataForce by TransPerfect is a division of the TransPerfect family of companies, the world’s largest provider of language and technology solutions for global business.
